Types

Lectotype, Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts 181 (male I); paralectotpes, Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts 181 (9 male I, 6 female), Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts 3353 (7 male I, female), Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts 3354 (3 male II), National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C. 4971 (male I), Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle, Paris, France (male, female), Wurzburg Mus.; "cotypes" previously reported to be in the Australian Museum are not there. The lectotype (male I) was selected by Fitzpatrick (1967a:162) from Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts 181, and all other "types" were designated paralectotypes by him.

Type Locaity

Genesee River, Rochester, Monroe County, New York.

Range

Southeastern Ontario, New York, Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio, West Virginia, northern Virginia, and western Maryland.

Habitat

Rocky Streams.

Distribution

Currently stable.
