Holotpe, allotype, and "morphotype," (latter designated as allotype by Rhoades), National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C. 81307, 81309, 81308 (male I, female, male II); paratypes, Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Museum of Comparative Zoology, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Ohio State Museum, Columbus, Ohio.

Type Locality

Pete Lights' spring, 3 miles (4.8 km) east of Canton, Trigg County, Kentucky.

Range

Lower Green, Tradewater, and Cumberland drainages in western Kentucky.

Habitat

Small streams.
