Type Locality

Cumberland Crystal Cave (Sloans Valley Cave), Alpine, Pulaski County, Kentucky.

Range

Subterranean waters of the Cumberland River basin in southeastern Kentucky, intergrading with the nominate subspecies in Wayne County, Kentucky, and Fentress County, Tennessee.

Habitat

Subterranean streams and pools.
