E. dharawalus is known from only a small area in and near the northern section of Morton National Park, south-west of Robertson, New South Wales, drained by tributaries of the Kangaroo and thence Shoalhaven Rivers.Habitat
The species was found in 1981 at only one site, to the north-east of Fitzroy Falls from where most specimens have been collected. The site was largely cleared with some eucalyptus along the stream banks. The crayfish inhabited a catacomb of holes in the soft stream bed.References
