IntroductionA Mexican species similar to tristis with a distinctive long, curved retrolateral ramus on the embolus. The erect portion of the embolus is narrower than in tristis. No characters have yet been found to distinguish the female from that of tristis, except locality.

Natural HistoryBeating oaks and pines in oak-pine area (3 records); sweeping shrubs, cloud forest (1 record). Elevations at four locations in Nuevo León and San Luis Potosí from 1400 m to 2900 m.
