Introduction

Ranges from southern Venezuela throughout the Guiana Shield to near the mouth of the Amazon in Brazil.  Larvae recorded from Passiflora laurifolia (Brévignon, 2002).

Characteristics

Distinguished from the sympatric P. dido by the broad, brown outer submarginal band of the ventral hindwing (Constantino & Salazar, 2010).
