Comments The most common Antshrike we saw at Chaparrí (actually, it was the ONLY Antshrike, but we saw it lots). These cheeky guys regularly joined us at meal times - I think they get thrown scraps from time to time). Fairly common in dry forest and desert scrub in the nothwest below 1200m, but also are in the Marañón Valley to about 1900m, although we didn't see them there.
